Yeah I second Gumtree. For the area I am searching, got heaps of responses. Be to write a couple of paragraphs about yourselves (ie the fact you keep busy with study or work) and provide a detailed description of the house and room. Also be sure to include photos.

While I've been searching, I'd skip any ads that lacked a photo and description of my new house and housemates.
