Yesterday we all travelled by bus to Sangoñedo where our old farm house is. The neighbors had us over for a full day lunch session. Your postings sound so much better. I´m glad and breathing a sigh of relief for you. I´ve been thinking of you ever since I read your post last night. Enjoy the hospitality of people and the food and the fortified wine. Hey, it´s fortified...it´s gotta be good for you.

The photo is amazing!! Can´t wait to see your other pics.

I´m still in Managua. I have a flight out after 5pm this evening...hopefully.

Yeah, things seemed pretty relaxed right now. So far there have been no signifacnt communication breakdowns. Having Mari here helps, of course, because we can split the¨"functional adult" role. I think we mystify the easedroppers though with our continual code switching amongst ourselves. The most challenging and fun conversations were in Sangoñedo with the neighbors. One man Manuel had an accent that we all found somewhat difficult; found myself not tracking him completely when he got really animated (and tipsy.)

Don´t know if the Skype lessons helped or not. Hard to tell.
