I personally watched his show before it got all super popular and everything, and I met him when I worked at a reptile exhibit. I think that he educated a lot of people and did some good with his life.
Though I totally agree that it is annoying that the moment someone dies they become this perfect being that everyone loves, even if they didn't like them before. That seems super false and is more disrespectful than anything else.
I should add that I mean no disrespect toward Steve Irwin's family, even though I'm sure that it'll come off that way. He seems like he was a genuinely nice guy.
I'm glad nature took him instead of something else, he died doing what he loves.
Now if the media would just find the next story of the day...
I think he did great things for nature, but at the same time hurt it by promoting going out there and messing with it.
