(Review the rules, and floor plan of the safe house.)
(Read Part 1.) (Read Part 2.)
Four AM. Tuesday. The first day in the safe house.
There are strange noises outside.
The kind of nightmare-ish noises that wake you up from good dreams and hit you over the head with your terrifying sim-reality.
Screams, gunfire, and the constant moans of the ever-multiplying undead.
Our heroes make themselves as comfortable as they can. Tom plants himself in a room with sound equipment on the third floor.
Filius take solace in his heavy regimen of exercise. He figures, for every hour of training he does, that's another zombie he'll be able to destroy.
Avocet keeps everyone fed. The facility is weirdly well-stocked with fine aged cheeses, and the gas stove is easily started with a match.
Moonbeam can't bring herself to lie down. She feels sure something's going to burst in the door at any moment. She finds the most defensible room in the building, and stacks up all the furniture in the room so she can't see the door. But not being able to see what's coming worries her even more. So she sits and watches all night.
Morning. Zephira finally wakes up. She spends a long time in the tiny bathroom at the back of the building. It doesn't have windows. She can put on her make-up without distraction.
Zephira has spend her first day making a room, the room adjoined to Moonbeam's, look livable. A cold office is no place for a home. She found two mattresses in the basement, and recruited Filius to help her carry them upstairs.
The sims feel much better after a good meal. It's a good thing none of them are vegan.
There are two plates left, one of those belongs to Zero.
He stayed up all night, standing on the roof, watching the city destroy itself.
That kind of thing is tiring.
The second sandwich belongs to Tourmaline.
She and Jacques stayed up most of the night together. That kind of thing is also quite tiring.
Jacques explains to Filius exactly how tiring she was. They exchange tips on how to make some one else tired without getting tired first.
Meanwhile, back on the third floor, Avocet sneaks up on Zero and says "Rawr I'm a scary Zombie."
After he restrains himself from hitting her, he finds this humorous.
It was a good prank. Don't do it again.
Meanwhile in the fourth floor bathroom, there's some kind of moment happening.
The kind of moment where Moonbeam confronts a (shirtless?) Tom with a very important question. Has he been saved by the power of St. Cuthbert? He doesn't answer, but waves her out of the room, as he has to use the facilities.
By evening, Zephira's spirits are falling fast.
Moonbeam reassures her by reciting the signs of the coming of St. Cuthbert.
It's also worth noting that Zero's misguided attempts at preparing dinner improved no one's mood.
Just when he was starting to feel Avocet might be okay, she goes and disappears again.
Jacques wanted to try out some of those tips Filius gave him.
After all, these are the end times, and Tourmaline is really more of a friend.
Morning. Wednesday.
One of the office workers stirs.

Some sims have been modified a bit from their original sculpt, though never more than a four clicks away from the original. I'm very picky about facial proportions. Cheekbones, nose width and nose height are primarily the things I end up messing with.
I wish I had taken more pictures of this day. I feel like I'm lacking some of the character development that seemed apparent to me as I played.)
