Esme just learned a new phrase!
All day she';s ben running up to me and handing me things and saying "Da - oo-doh", as in "there you go".

Ugh, snow be gone
I either want the snow to melt completely or for it to snow so hard Jake will actually have to stay home from work. THis lingering last remnant of crappy icy stuff is just irritating now ( Read more... ) -

Grr. Just had the pest control man come round. He was here for a good forty minutes and was really thorough, checking under things and behind them, in cupboards and under the cooker. He put down poison baits and boxes in quite a few places, so hopefully that'll knock the little motherfuckers off. I had one in the lounge yesterday at about 6pm, ( Read more... ) -
So far this year has been
filled with cleaning and small furry animals. Saw one of the little fuckers leaping across the kitchen earlier this evening. Almost gave me heart failure ( Read more... ) -
New Year's stuff
I don't really tend to think much about it until it's here. I've only ever thrown one New Year's party - Donnelly Street house. We nicked a bunch of sound equipment and records from the radio station and turned our house into a sound box. We came home on Monday evening to discover that not only have our extremely persistent furry visitors returned yet again, this time they'd decided to add insult to injury by shitting in our beds. Esme's cot broke the other day, so she's had a make-shift bed on her cot mattress beside my side of the bed. Not any more. She's now very firmly sleeping ( Read more... ) -

Happy Crazy Materialistic Present Swapping Bonanza Day, every one. Somehow I don't think that name will catch on, it's much too long to fit on a greetings card. Although we could charge more for the cards as they would take up far more card ( Read more... )
