So much for Environmental Protection

Feb 06, 2006 20:44

So, higher education and environmental friendliness seem as if they'd go hand-in-hand, right?

Well, allow me to share with you that it has taken, so far, 4/5 of an entire ream of paper to apply to graduate school.

Let's pray those trees all died for a good reason...

Where are you applying? I sent away for information from U of M, Chicago State, Columbia College of Chicago, Iowa State, Bowling Green, and Notre Dame. I want to stay in the midwest, near family- if I get into U of M, I'm so there, hands down.
We should get together soon.

I applied to Columbia College Chicago and Bowling Green as well :) I almost applied to Notre Dame but ended up not having a sufficient writing sample. I also applied to Missouri-St. Louis, U Memphis, North Carolina-Greensboro, American University (in DC!!!), and Wayne as my back up, since it's a little different program and not as competitive. I don't know if I'm good enough to get in, but I'll only find out if I try!

see it's a lose-lose situation... if you use new paper...you're killing trees.. if you use recycled paper.. then the lumberjack who cut down hte previously named trees is out of a job b/c people just keep using the old trees
