I'm really amused that, at the moment, the poll results for your first question are the inverse of the poll results for your second question. We're so helpful, aren't we?

It amuses me too! I put up both kind of poll question because I wasn't really sure which kind of question it should be and thought it might be helpful for tie-breakers, but I wasn't expecting this kind of difference!

I almost always use "vote as many times as you want" with my students, which tends to throw them the first few times until they get used to the idea. (I sometimes let them vote on which of 3 or 4 days to schedule the chapter test for and pretty much always let them vote on which review problems to work as a class for the review day.)

Good to hear from you again! :-)

I definitely would like to hear about the visit to a Faire and the story about your birthday; the others could be mentioned later. [I'll admit bias here, as I met you during your trip to state=CA back in March, so I hope I know most of that story. :-)]

As for me, I've been a bit busy ignoring the "Stop me before I volunteer again" warning; this event was the result. It's not easy bringing a long-dead con back from same, but we may just have succeeded. [News at 11. :-)]
