We're actually having some summer weather in England this year! At least a week's worth of hot, dry and sunny. Hot for England anyway; temperatures of 26-29 celsius (high seventies farenheit) might not seem hot to some of you but it's hot for this part of the world!

Currently too hot for some of us - I'm glad it's forecast to be a few degrees cooler in the next few days! Couldn't believe how many people were sitting around Centre Court with bare shoulders this afternoon. They'll be roasted.

Stiil, that's the tennis out of the way, and the rugby down under, now we just have to sort out the cricket.

Be fair, we hardly ever get weather this hot. Let those of us that like the heat enjoy it for a few days.

Just in time for cricket. I don't know anyone over here who wasn't barracking for Andy Murray, and we were all *YAY* when he won. But that's enough now, England. You did well at the Olympics, you won the rugby, now Wimbledon. Remember that losing is very good for your character and Stiff Upper Lip, and if you win any more you'll lose that very Britishness we all know and love.

So - our turn for the Ashes, right?* Can we all agree on that and move on? Very good.

An interesting first day. Haven't seen any of it yet but will check out the highlights tomorrow. No idea as to which team is on top!
