Since her return to the castle, Alice had more or less kept to herself, deciding she was unwilling to have another incident like the one she had had with Frank only a few days before. She had decided to venture out of her room for the first time today, and had wandered about, spending some time on the quidditch pitch, and somehow had found herself ( Read more... )

Keda had been in her regular and usually abandoned section of Politics, when the fellow Gryffindor had entered the room. The girl was now occupying her usual seat, which left Keda feeling somewhat irritated Grabbing a seat at the same table, the chair felt weird beneath her. Her position was awkward. She didn't want to pick a fight with the girl as they were in the same house. But she wanted her seat back.

Alice looked up as the other girl sat down. great she thought irratably, I come to the library to get away from people and someone sits down, of all places, at the same table I am using.

"Excuse me," Alice said softly, gathering her things. She hoped she didn't appear rude, but she didn't really feel like sitting with other people, and considering the unfriendly look Keda was giving her, she guessed the older wasn't much one for company either.

"Excused." Keda said curtly and once more turned back to her book itching for the moment the girl would leave the seat so keda herself could occupy it. Keda knew she was being a bitch, but hey at least she wasn't acting like Selena.

Alice looked up, one eyebrow raised. The hand that had been moving to place the book in her bag froze, and almost as if she couldn't control it, reached up and placed the book back on the table.

"What I meant by excuse me, was you are currently invading my space and I wish for you to leave," Alice stated calmly. In honesty, she had been planning to leave herself, not really in a mood for any type of confrontation, but the girl's rude response had caused a rather nasty reaction in Alice.

"Oh sod off,"Alice said teasingly grinning at the other girl. "He probably doesn't even know I exist to be honest." She flipped to the third chapter in the book, determined to get more interested in gillyweed, rather than spilling all her dark secrets to the older girl, who she was coming to really like.

"Right. Your invisble. Completely non-exsisnt. Except for the fact you even said, and I quote "he was trying to be nice to me", meaning he was being nice to you. He initated the act not you. But of course, you have to be invisble." She said smirking.

Keda usually disliked younger students, especially girls. Yet some how, maybe through actions as bi polar as her own Alice had won over Keda.

"Well it could just be pity you know, the poor boy happened to set in the middle of me crying several nights ago." She twirled her quill, finding that she really wanted it to be something other than pity.
