Today was my last exam of my last year of my Open University Mathematics degree. I get my results for the modules for this year in December. So while in theory I'm still an undergraduate, there is now nothing left to do but wait until the OU decide I'm a mathematician or not ( Read more... )

Fantastic news! I'm raising a glass to you over here (and will see you at the weekend to do so in person). Well done!

Congrats! I've just finished my MS221 exam earlier this week... another few years left before I'm done. M209 next.

Do you mean MST209? If you're definitely heading for B31 then I very strongly advise you to do MSXR209 in the same year (it's a required module for B31, so you'd have to do it at some point).

MSXR209 is basically a revision week for MST209, with an "I play well with others and can talk to humans about maths" assessment tacked on the side. The revision side is really powerfully good, though.

Sorry, yes, MST209. I'm going for B14 rather than B31 so MSXR209 is optional for us.

Its pretty expensive for a 10 credit point subject (860 quid for non-UK based students!) And while I do have a 10 credit point hole in my study plan once i've done everything required for the degree, I'm probably going to do something completely different like "Introduction to Astronomy" to make up those points.
