I feel like you are so far away. Like you're an idea. Like maybe you aren't real. Like the distance is just a metaphor for some empty dream of what could have been. It makes me so sad, to think that you're really that far away. Even though I know you're really there... it doesn't make me wish for you any less.

It just occurred to me that your brother is shipping out soon. I'm so sorry, I should have called to check on you tonight rather than goofing off with Vickie and watching a stupid chick flick. Sorry I'm so oblivious sometimes.
