you don't say someone showed you a trick and neglect to tell everyone else how to do said trick, especially when it involves something useful that could aid another person!!!!!!

Put several gallons of fuel in the tank, at least 3 or 4. Turn the ignition key once, just enough for the motor to try to turn over once, just a pop of the ignition. Do not try to start the car yet. Leave the key in the on position so that the battery will function and the fuel pump will activate. This is called Priming the Pump. After only a few seconds (like 5) the car will be primed. The engine should start right up. If it does not, consult a mechanic.
