Come October, I will have been at this job for a year. I'm trying to stay positive, there are aspects that I find redeeming, but I seem to be easily bowled over by the negative aspects. I've always been fairly good at addition, as you appear to be.

Coming up on a year on the job, and you're having misgivings about your role in the company, and from what I can decipher (not that you're speaking in some curious, foreign code), pretty serious ones at that. I could be overreaching a bit here. Although comments such as "I simply... don't... like... it" and "but I NEED more... something with lasting effects" (I took the liberty of using fewer ellipsis points than you, but I did leave a space between the last ellipsis point and the subsequent word - I notice the slightest details) lead me to believe that I'm not so far off the mark. I sure as Hell try not to be.

Would you consider your present track to be dead-end (pardon the pun)?

I'm pleased to hear you've got an active social life. Do you have a spare?

Maybe the social life is the problem eh? It's been so long since I've had much of one to speak (write) of. Perhaps if I had no social life or a terrible one, I would relish the opportunity to come to work. Doubtful, but it was worth a shot ( ... )
