CHARACTER INFORMATION-
Character: Jean Havoc
Code Name: the Knight, Jacqueline
Cannon: Full Metal Alchemist
Age: 24
Position: Pilot
Ship: Amestris
Rank: Lieutenant
Appearance:
Jean is taller then average and well built from his military training. Standing a head above the shortest team member from his old platoon, Havoc is easy enough to spot in a crowd as his overgrown bangs fluffs up no matter what he does to tame it. Still, the yellow-blond bangs are not thick enough to cover sincere blue eyes, giving him a distinctive look. Havoc makes sure to keep his face clean-shaven, and can usually be seen with a cigarette in his mouth, unlit or otherwise.
Havoc’s uniform is not much to take note of, seeing that protocol has him keeping it in good condition like any other military personnel. However, when Jean is sent to do undercover work, he can be seen wearing a long sleeved black collared shirt with his sleeves rolled up past his elbows. A dark modified vest that carries two smaller sized handguns with multiple pockets to store ammunition goes over the shirt, and special gloves that leave his first two fingers free ends on his wrist. His rifle or carbine-whichever one he’s not carrying at the moment- can be seen attached to a specially rigged belt at the back of his waist. Havoc completes his outfit with durable black pants tucked in military standard issued boots.
Personality:
Havoc is a laid-back person. While he is not the smartest person in the military, he makes up for the fact by being honest, reliable, and an above average marksman. That is not to say he’s dumb; to some extent he is a good judge in character on who to follow, and what differentiates him from other soldiers would be his unwavering loyalty he’d sworn to his commander, instead of to the Military. A good example of this trait would be his past transfer; though he’d finally gotten a girlfriend, the papers came to finalize his new assignment. While he grumbled about the issue, Havoc still placed his job before his social life and went without much complaint. Not from the lack of trying, Havoc cannot keep a girlfriend to save his life even though he can be seen as a typical ‘good guy’.
Even so, Jean knows to separate his work from his social life, and will not share classified information even with girlfriends. While easy going, on duty, he carries out his job without complaint, and shows the utmost respect to his superiors. If Havoc was placed on duty with those he knows, his dry common sense and his sometimes-sarcastic view provides interesting insight and also serves as comic relief. On the battlefield, Jean takes lead of his subordinates when he’s placed in a position of power and is a hard working man, earning every bit of respect he deserves alongside his rank.
Abilities/Weapons:
Havoc may not the smartest person around, he makes up the fact with a high combat powers, common sense, and loyalty. With above average shooting skills, his choice of weapon is either a Carbine, rifle, or two smaller handguns, depending on the situation. However, that is not to say that’s all he relies on; other being a reliable marksman, Havoc is also trained, like the others to his rank and military, with close quarters combat and serves also as a well rounded soldier for fieldwork. Jean is 100% human with no enhancements, and unable to do any Alchemy, magic, anything that requires superhuman strength or mana crystals.
Hacking:
Havoc cannot hack. His area of focus in the Military was on the fieldwork aspect instead of the technical side, and only recently has he learned to lock and filter journal entries.
Weaknesses:
Havoc is only human; like it or not, he can be easily overpowered if should he be dealing with demi-humans, by brute force, tricked, other humans with magical powers or with the knowledge of Alchemy. There is only so much he can do with guns and physical strength limited by the human body. His ammunition can jam, or run out even if he carries extra magazines around his waist. Another way to get under his defense is big breasts. Havoc has a weakness for women with big boobs. Even if he puts work before his social life, he can still be detracted should a big-breasted female asked him out on a date. Havoc is also loyal to a fault: he will follow his commander, wherever it may go, even if said leader may go This fact can be exploited, though there is also the chance of it backfiring.
History:
Jean hailed from the east countryside of Abantiare. Born into the large Havoc family, Jean started at a young age to help out around the Family opened store, Havoc Sundries, and with the family farm later on. It was a tight-nit family, and it was safe to deduce that Jean had picked up the ‘hard-working’ trait from the Havoc’s traditional value; because he’d never been the smartest out of his cousins, he’d make up for the fact with physical strength. Jean took up smoking at a young age in hopes to become more like his father and uncles, and the bad habit will follow him into his adult life. Like the rest of his family members, he’d done all that was expected of him around the house as a good son. Unlike the others in his generation, however, he grew restless from the simplistic country life.
The conflict with the Ishaval had building up for a good while, and as the Ivonian military sent out troops and State Alchemists, Jean enlisted without a second thought alongside many others in his village, even though none of the other Havocs joined him. While Jean was not the sharpest tool in the shed, he made up with hard work. He had struggled through the Military academy, and graduated near the top of his class in regards to the physical aspect, and was placed on the battlefield due to sever lack of soldiers available nearing the end of the Ishaval Campaign. The hands on experience he’d gain from the conflict made him stand out as a well-rounded soldier, capable of leadership and undercover missions. From there he was promoted to Lieutenant class at the end of the conflict, and was, scouted for his ability as a soldier. After swearing his loyalty to his new commander, he transferred, leaving behind a girlfriend, and followed the man to his new station on the ground. Unfortunately, it was not long until Jean was left behind when his Commander was then reassigned onto a prodigious airship. Determined to follow said Commander due to a promise he had made, Havoc took the time to honed his skills as a pilot and made sure his current ability would not get rusty, and waited patiently for an opportunity to make his own transfer onto the Amestris to get approved.
SAMPLES-
Third Person (roleplay):
Jean was finishing his third set of pushups beside his bunk when his transfer papers finally came through. Saluting the messenger, he had accepted the packet and set it aside as he toweled his face off, careful to keep his expression relatively neutral until he was alone again. It had taken longer then expected, but finally, he will be able to fulfill his promise to his commanding officer had gone ahead before him. I understand. I'll leave you. I'll leave you, so...You must catch up. I'll be going first. I'll be waiting at the top. Tossing the damp cloth onto the newspaper as not to see the bolded headlines declaring the train accident, Havoc stuck a cigarette between his lips as he rummaged through his pack, dragging out a silver, relatively beaten up lighter and a lit up.
“They can’t choose a better time to transfer me?!” Blowing the smoke out, he sighed, scratching the back of his head from slight frustration. “I finally got with her, too!” While Jean was grumbling under his breath, there was no real heat behind the words. This was not the first, nor will it be the last time he’d lost girlfriends to his job. It was times like this Havoc really reconsidered who he chose to swear his loyalty to, even if serving under Mustang again would be a nice change. If this trend continues, he was going to file for compensation, damnit!
First Person (journal):
Hello? Hello? Is this thing connected to the network? I think it’s on…? [ the sounds of rustling and clicking can be heard as he attempts to figure out the specifics of the difference engine.]

The transfer just had to come through when I finally managed to get myself a girlfriend. I’m filing for compensation. Good to know that something’s never change, Sir.
The last few days prior to my departure have been hectic in regards to the rumors concerning the Captain’s disappearance-please tell me you either have a plan or have nothing to do with it. I await your orders.
