Saw HOT FUZZ and GRINDHOUSE over the course of two days and thought, just like that, I had blown my movie load for the summer. It was two amazing fucking days of movie watching (Wright, Pegg and Frost at FUZZ screening, Tarantino and Eli Roth at GRINDHOUSE). But still, everything I was excited for had come and gone. That's out this summer?! larnick April 11 2007, 19:38:42 UTC
You know even though a lot of these movies probably won't be very good, I'm looking forward to this summer's schedule more than anything from the past few years:
Spider-Man 3, Pirates 3, Shrek 3, Die Hard 4, Michael Bay's Transformers, Fantastic Four 2, Hostel 2, Stone Cold Steve Austin as the Running Man, Hot Fuzz, Hostel 2, Rob Zombie's Halloween, 28 weeks later, Knocked up, Ocean's 13, Black Sheep(!!!), The Simpsons Movie, Stardust, The Ten, Hot Rod, Superbad, King of Kong, The Brothers Solomon, Mr. Bean's holiday(?! Costarring Willem Dafoe?!)

Only like... 3 of those movies will be good, but there is more popcorn junk that I'm looking forward to sitting through with friends on a Friday night, than the last 2 summers.

I'll definetley be in the theatre for like 90% of those. Still, all of them are passing fancies for me. Fly by night blockbusters I'll get excited for two days before they open and forget about two minutes after I've seen them ( ... )

King of Kong is really interesting. It's like seeing into the future of Fred Savage and his power glove (involving hot sauce, biblical facial hair and an inability to concede defeat).

In much the same fashion as your balls, the film industry will recharge. And you've got to be at least kind of excited for the new Harry Potter!
