I've decided I'm gonna go to my work Christmas party. I don't care if hardly any of my close friends are going or not, or if the people I really can't stand will be there, I just wanna go for a bit, I don't want to miss it, as it will more than likely be my last one. Isn't it okay for some people to find independence in one city and some in another and some at home? Shouldn't people support their friends and wish them the best in their endeavours? You sound envious of those who have had the courage to make a change in their lives. Why not be happy for them - or at least look like you are happy for them. Those friends might be making a mistake by going away but they will learn and they need support - it's scary enough without your friends turning against you too.
If you were to show more love and support to your friends, you would end up looking a lot nicer too.

Of course it is ok for them to find independence in a city and I do wish them the best in their endeavours, but I am just sick of hearing "There is nothing here for me, I'm going to get away" all of the time. I know some people aren't happy with their life, hell I'm not happy with mine at times but to constantly complain about things that aren't even problems, these people receive so much stuff from their parents and friends like me and still are left wondering why we are being pushed aside. I have tried so hard in the past that I have just ran out of ideas and have basically given up and said bon voyage. I am a nice person, but no one sees it because they're too busy with themselves.
