The tea satchet said "chocolate yerba mate." But then the tag on the tea bag just said "yerba mate." But then it turned out to actually be chocolate yerba mate.
I think mate can be prepared in various ways, but I always just drink it like tea. It's not actually my favorite, but I drink it before work sometimes because it supposedly has a ton of caffeine. I like the chocolate kind best, but when I only have the regular kind, I just add a bunch of honey to it. I think I can hear the mate purists slamming their heads against walls.

Is mate good, btw? I've never had it, but my brother's mother brought us some and I've been interested in trying it. Is it like tea?

But then, I've never really been able to like mate. Bit of an acquired taste, according to the South Americans I know.
