Finally a good few days
Had a pretty good day today and yesterday. Yesterday I got a call from our bank saying that they were able to approve the loan modification for our cars, and we’ll go to the bank tomorrow to sign the paperwork for it! Man that’ll be super nice!
I also handed in my big data cleanse project that I’ve been working on to my boss yesterday and she was super impressed with my work! It was really nice to hear her compliment me and tell me what a great job I did and how she would have never been able to put all of the information together onto 1 spreadsheet that was so easy to understand and read. She’s going to share it with her boss, who is the one who decides whether I get to stay or not. She’s already heard really good things about me, but it’s nice to be able to actually show her what I’m capable of.
Today work was good too. Went to a meeting with Traci and it was really cool that she asked me to go with her. Got to meet a few people that I talked to through email but have never actually met in person. I think it’s also saying something good that she invited me to join her too.
After work we went to Dylan’s 2nd birthday party. It was at a cute little park across the street from Geoff’s parent’s house. It was nice to get together with people, even if we had seen our friends less than a week ago for Bella’s birthday party. I wish Bella was walking, so she could have ran around with the other kids, but she actually stood and sat in the grass which was nice since she normally doesn’t like the grass. And we did actually put her in a swing for a little bit. She liked it at first but got kinda fussy with it pretty soon after. She was dressed super cute in one of her new dresses, with a headband and everything so I was proud that my baby was the cutest there! I’m too tired to upload photos now but I’ll try to remember to post some tomorrow.
We started to get everything together to move out of our in-laws house today. Don’t really realize how much shit you have till you have to pack it all up, and it’s not even our house! Josh needs to call his mom tomorrow and figure out what time their flight arrives on Saturday. I would assume it would be a bit later in the afternoon since it’s a fairly lengthy flight. I’m hoping we have time to maybe drive up to Washington and buy some fireworks there. I’ve never bought fireworks from Washington (because they aren’t legal here) so that would be fun if we could get a few of them.
Talked to Pearla today; she’s having a good time down in Florida so far, besides having to adjust to the 3 hour time difference. I’m glad that she’s having a god time, but I’m sad that she’s gone. We were just starting to hang out and become good friends and now she’ll be gone for like 3 months. Oh well, I’m sure we’ll keep in touch and start up where we left off when she gets back.
Work for Josh has been busy, at least this week. He might even be able to get some overtime. Probably not this week though, because for some reason they aren’t willing to give it to Josh, but I guess they are letting a bunch of other people in different departments work overtime. It sucks when he does it because he’s gone more, but the money is really nice and we could really use it, especially if we want to be able to start making payments on our house again at some point. I really need to call our mortgage company and check on our modification process, but I’m scared to call because I don’t want to hear any bad news lol. I guess I’ll try to call sometime next week.
