Title: The Small Text at the Bottom of the Page
Characters/Pairings: Harry/Draco, kind of
Word Count: 100
Author's Notes: I wrote this probably a year ago, and posted it here then, but just revised it a bit and posted it at
hd100 for the "Magic" challenge. As I said there, "crossword puzzle" in the drabble is meant to be "word search," but I've never called them that and dislike how it sounds here. Anyway, this is mildly dark and deals with Harry's stance on blood purity.
________________
Harry knows that Draco is absurdly good at crossword puzzles; he can finish the puzzle in the same amount of time it takes Harry to read the words he’s supposed to be finding.
Draco tells Harry that it’s because the magic in Wizarding blood that naturally flows to the brain makes it easier to unscramble letters on a page. But no matter how insistent Draco is about this, Harry thinks it’s bollocks; he can’t finish a crossword puzzle to save his life.
Draco sighs and claims this to be a pureblood trait. And, just this once, Harry wants to agree.
