Author's Notes: I wrote this for hd100's "Coming Out" challenge, and I totally meant to write fluff; I don't know what happened there. Anyway, this is rather AU, as I see it taking place in the pre-HBP/DH period before the war, at any time when Harry's in GP. I suppose it could take place post-war, but I think it'd be a little OOC for Lucius, now that we've seen him in DH.

Harry opens the front door of Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place and is surprised to see Draco Malfoy standing behind it, small-looking, desperate, eyes trained on the pavement.
Harry’s initial anger abates as Draco shifts his weight and glances at Harry through his hair. The longer Draco stands in silence the more Harry takes in his appearance-his shaking hands, hunched shoulders, faded bruises and scars (the result of weak spellwork) marring his pale skin.
Harry says his name and Draco is the picture of defeat as he looks up at him and says, “I didn’t know where else to go.”
