Beat shuffle interview Shou and Tora
This is an old rare interview recorded somewhere in spring 2006. Brought to you thanks to the contribution of mireille_alen.
I have to say both of them look absolutely adorable here. And they have the matching outfits. Again. Also here you can witness Shou's awesome drawing skills)) Anyway.
Watching it I had the feeling that the most interesting stuff happened while the sound was off. But oh well.
At first they introduce themselves and the host notes they both wear white. Shou says it's because it's Springtime. Then the host says the band got together around August 2004 and asks them to talk a little about how the band was formed. So Shou tells the whole story. I won't retell since you probably know it anyway. And if you don't, shame on you! Then the host says the last kanji in the band name is very complicated and normally people can't read it so he asks why they use it. Shou talks about that while Tora begins to look distinctly bored lol) Then at about 5.30 the host asks about the album that recently came put which was Zekkeishoku. Tora lights up to talk about the recording process. They talk for awhile and after that Velvet is played.
That's when Shou begins to draw. Tora leans in close and it's just aww~ They look like such kids) The picture he draws says 'daikon-sama' It's an old joke. I remember seeing this character a lot on their blogs. Basically it's a Saga caricature, I think Shou came up with it at some point. And the second is of course Nao-san!
After the song ends the host asks about how Shou writes the lyrics and Shou basically says that he listens to the music and writes the lyrics based on the image of the song he gets. Then Tora talks about the song-writing process. He says sometimes he writes heavy songs and Saga writes peaceful songs and Hiroto writes cheerful songs but his time they wanted to challenge themselves so they ended up with Tora writing a Saga-like song and Hiroto writing a Tora-like song. Then the host mentions Q and how Saga sang on this one and asks how that came about. Shou says Saga was only supposed to sing on Armor Ring, but they decided his voice was good so when it was time to record Q they ended up letting Saga sing. Then they talk about the upcoming tour and Q is played.
After the song they answer random questions from the fans. Shou talks about his love for soy milk while Tora is accused of not updating his blog. He says he doesn't feel like it and then Shou adds that if Tora doesn't write much their leader Nao writes too much lol)) That their homepage has turned into Nao-blog) Then Shou explains why he likes Final Fantasy and Tora says he's been gaming a lot too but he wants to try doing an outdoor game. He says Gackt seems good at survival games and he'd like to try it too. All the while Shou looks, like WTF? XDD Then the host says they seem to like games so they probably aren't into sports much. Shou says that it's not like that. He says recently they went to Fukuoka and played basketball and Tora says 'table tennis, table tennis' is a weird way lol. You really don't see him so excited that often. Then they say whatever they play Saga is bad at it. Haha. Shou says it seems like he's good at baseball and he really wants to play it but they can't. (btw, Saga is still bitching about it sometimes lol) The host also says Nao has a PC with a terabyte hard drive so he's like a king. Apparently at the time is was really cool)
Then it's just a few announcements, introducing the song and that's it.
