Oh Lord have mercy. I am giddy over the fact that you wrote such a wonderful story around one of my favorite moments of the first anime. I could totally imagine this happening during those unseen moments.

:DDD This is one of my favorite bits, too, so I was thrilled to have an excuse to explore it a little more. I watched those episodes an ungodly number of times, so I might just be projecting my Roy/Ed feels onto them, but their demeanors are so different the morning after they spend the night at the Rockbell's. They're snappy and playful and NOT AT ALL TENSE with each other--and there is NO VISIBLE REASON FOR THAT in the canon. Ergo, this fic.

Trust me, I get it. Roy and Ed totally became first anime canon in my head in Cos and the whole "The Lieutenant isn't the one he's waiting for" thing. But yeah, SO MANY MOMENTS in the first anime that scream RoyxEd it's not even funny. *sigh*
