Mel epistolica and maybe the mods at the PR fic com are thinking about setting another one up, and that would be great so I could actually write for one. AND ALSO GET INCEST LONGFIC AND ART because that is a thing I also crave.

You know, I can sort of see their point in being wary about underage incest, but calling it PEDOPHILIA and a fetish is judgmental and shaming and five kinds of not okay. :////

Being wary about it, yes, but it still seems a little strange to me that they'd ban it outright and not just require warnings.

But yeah, then they went and deleted the post so not only does it seem especially wanky, but now we don't even know for sure what restrictions they're setting. Whole things's just messy.

Yeah, me too. And I think the response Melanie got was that it was a triggering subject for the mods? Which is fine, of course, but probably also means that they shouldn't be moderating a big bang if there's no healthy way for everyone to stay trigger-free without banning the subject.

But even then, the way they've handled it is so unprofessional and deleting the ask is an unbelievably bad move, imo.

I thought that it might be the reasoning but I didn't want to be THAT PERSON that makes the assumption. But then in that case, yeah, they probably shouldn't be moderating a challenge in a fandom where their triggers could be prevalent.
