Well, last weekend, I FINALLY got my Kana cd. I put it in the same day and, well, lets just say I was not instantly overwhelmed. HOWEVER, I went to bed and woke up humming a melody that finally throughout the day I was able to recall was from that cd. So I gave it another chance. Now I love it. I would love to start heading to other ren fests around the country. I was lucky I got to go at all this year though :) Next year I really need to plan better. One of my friends went to the Kansas one and he loved it.

This may be a silly question, but what exactly is a ren fair? Just dress up and pretend you're back in the renaissance? We don't have stuff like that here but it sounds super fun. (Of course, I consider any excuse to dress up a Good Thing.)

^_^ pretty much thats the gist of it. There are lots of vendors there as well. Some of the artwork and craftsmanship is just spectacular, some not so good ;) There are different stages with shows like jugglers and such and you don't have to wear costumes but its more fun that way.

I love dressing up too. Thats why Halloween is my holiday, any excuse I use.

Where are you from then that they don't have ren fairs, if you don't mind me asking?

I live at the very bottom of New Zealand. :) I've never heard of them here at least. If we do have them it would probably be in the North Island where the bigger cities are.

Halloween is my favourite holiday too. Of course kiwis don't really get into that either, but I don't care, like you said, any excuse hehe. XD

I know, and now I have to start thinking of a costume as I already have one party planned for that weekend and its costumed (of course).

and wow, NZ, huh? we really are at opposite ends of the world. Here in Minnesota we are just beginning the winter season, which really, really sucks.
