So glad she made it home! My inlaws recently had a scare when their Burmese, Pagan, went missing for
a day and a half. He's not a very big cat anyway, and being gone even for a relatively short period of time thinned him out that much more.

He's also been unhappy with us recently because my inlaws went to Amarillo for a family funeral and so they left Pagan with us. We already have three cats, and while the oldest's attitude was "Meh," the younger two were actively trying to harass him. Pagan's 13, he's not really up for that sort of thing.

She's being very clingy and a complete purr monster. Jenny Cat on the other hand is less than impressed.

JC has been occasionally hissing and growling. I get the feeling she's not overly impressed at having TK home.

JC will be reacting like that mostly because TK has been out of her home environment for a few days and thus smells completely "wrong". She smells like a stranger. 'Twas much the same when Mum's eldest went missing for a week, Clover took a while to accept that it was actually him and he was actually back, and it was OK.

So pleased that you have her home. :) x

How wonderful! Any injuries, signs of abuse or attack? Change in her behaviour? Her thinness and the way she didn't come when called make me wonder if she was trapped somewhere.

There aren't any obvious injuries or other signs of harm. She's being very clingy but I suppose that's to be expected.

Her thinness might be because she didn't find an easy source of food. I doubt there are many small mammals around at the moment. 2½ weeks on short rations isn't helpful when you are a relatively tiny cat and don't carry a lot of fat to start with. Since she's come in she's had a 100g pouch of wet, as much dry food as she wants, and there's now a can of sardines (in tomato sauce) down for them both. She's (and so is Jenny) a sensible eater; she only picks at food throughout the day, but still eats a good amount. Hopefully this incident won't have changed that.

Based on what the postie said, that a small black cat was mooching round the school, I don't think she got locked in any where. Anything is possible though.

All that is by-the-by, she's home and that's the main thing.
