I just finished reading
March by Geraldine Brooks.
I enjoyed the book and thought it brought some insight into what Mr. March was going through. Now I definitely want to re-read Little Women. It was certainly an interesting read.
I think where I started having problems with the book is in Part Two, where the narrator became Mrs. March. I was upset by her lack ability to see her husband's perspective, or not wait for his before jumping to conclusions, particularly about Grace Clements. Of course she ended up being alright with it all, and I'm sure Mr. March ended up giving his side of the story, but I was definitely upset about that.
I was also so upset that Canning, etc. died :( But I loved how Zannah wrote on the scarf square. Such a great snippet for teachers! I also liked how part of Little Women was intertwined, but that's certainly to be expected given the nature of the book.
On to starting a new book! I'm slowly making my way towards my goal of reading 40 books this year. The next book...Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins (my uncle and cousin recommended it to me)
