Title: Angel in the Snow
Prompt: Angel in the Snow
Current/Past: Past
Word Count: 198
Rating: G
Original/Fandom: Original
Pairings (if any) the angel/the man
Warnings none
Summary: God's child, the Angel, spoke to God's other child, Man, and told him, “I'm in love. I'm in love with you."

God's child, the Angel, spoke to God's other child, Man, and told him, “I'm in love. I'm in love with you.”

And Man said, “Come outside with me. It's snowing and I bet you've never seen snow before, have you?”

“Not from down here,” admitted the angel. “I have been present to help the crystals form but I have never been able to follow their descent to Earth.”

The blanket of white made the man feel like they were walking on clouds.

“Is this what it's like in heaven,” he asked the angel, “all white and fluffy?”

The angel smiled. “Because, of course, the Heavenly Host stroll across clouds playing harps all day and night.”

“You blow trumpets too, right?”

“I feel an affinity with the snow,” the angel told his man, his face turning pink in the cold air. “It falls and melts and, if it's lucky, it has a short life on Earth in between. Do you know how angels feel when they fall? Some are happy just to touch the Earth. Others fall again and hope it will be worth it to find that the one they love returns their feelings.”

Title: Dinner Date
Prompt: Dinner Date, One Night Stand
Current/Past: 2 Past
Word Count: 255
Rating: G
Original/Fandom: Fandom - Frasier
Pairings (if any) Niles/Roz
Warnings: none
Summary: “Was this an acceptable first date?” Niles asked as he poured.

“Maybe it would be if our other first date hadn't been a fake one followed by a desperate one night stand.”

Niles examined the bottle of wine that was not part of his collection but a present from Frasier, as the whole dinner had been. Which would have been wonderful if Frasier hadn't decided to join them at the table. With Niles' brother now cleaning up in the kitchen, he was now alone with his date and the two of them were finally free to speak about the true purpose of their dinner.

“Was this an acceptable first date?” Niles asked as he poured.

“Maybe it would be if our other first date hadn't been a fake one followed by a desperate one night stand,” Roz said, pausing to to consider before continuing, “and also if Frasier hadn't crashed this date, so we had to pretend it wasn't a date. Other than that, the evening's been great. Get rid of your brother and I can think of a few ways to make it even better.”

“I would have thought getting rid of my brother would be the main thing that would make it better.”

“Like you don't know what I mean.”

They decided they should celebrate their surprisingly successful dinner date with a toast.

Niles took Roz's hand across the table. “What shall we toast to?”

“How about second chances? Like that one I'm giving you after you roped me into that stupid scheme of yours last weekend.”

“Well, how about we add taking risks and opening ourselves up to unexpected possibilities? Do you think you can drink to that?”
