Just a hint for a real xmas tree.....cut at least half an inch off the trunk off before putting it in water or it will die FAST. All the sap closes the trunk and no water will get in. Big fire hazard! LOL

Thanks! Yeah it helps that one of my roommates dad's is a firefighter so he told us to make sure to cut the bottom...so we went to Menards where they cut the trunk for us....that is my biggest fear...having a fire because of a damn tree......we'll see....
