Everyone's favorite gloomy couple. From the sad dedications of each Lemony Snicket book (To Beatrice-- dearest, darling dead, To Beatrice-- When we first met, you were pretty, and I was lonely. Now I am pretty lonely, etc.) to the hints dropped in letters and woeful sighs, Beatrice is omnipresent. They were going to get married, but then she thought he was dead(?) and married Bertand Baudelaire instead. After she and her husband died in a fire, Lemony Snicket began recording the sad tales of Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire. Another thought... if Severus Snape kept a journal, I'm sure it would be called A Series of Unfortunate Events too. Comment if you take & enjoy! :)
