Too many of you are reading it. One missed lj-cut, and my weekend is ruined. Therefore, I am taking a hiatus until Sunday. I will still check my mail, so feel free to email me at aliciamasters AT gmail DOT com if you need me. If you spoil me, I will KEEL you ( Read more... )

People have put a copy of the entire book online? Colour me baffled. I had heard of scans of chapter titles and the first couple of lines as a teaser...

I'm working one of the launch parties, and some cocky kid will come in and shout spoilers, just like last time.

I would really want to do some serious damage to anyone that did that to me >< .

I told the GM of the store that he will have to take them down. He used to be a Navy Seal. :)

He agreed. I have it in writing.

I completely agree (about not spoiling people). Doesn't mean I didn't cave, because I cannot resist. However, my real book is on its way for my Saturday reading date with my friends.

I hate to tell you this, darling, but your post earlier today was one of the ones that made me feel most wretched about this whole thing. Sorry. :-/

I'm sorry, then, too. I didn't actually say anything, I imply that I've read it and now I want to discuss it with like-minded individuals. There is no spoilers, only my emotional interjection.

I honestly did not see how that could spoil anyone. Sorry.

I don't know if I told you, but I have people over Friday after midnight, and we stay up all night reading the book. It's been dubbed "the quietest party EVER."

The sad thing is, it probably won't be hundreds this time. Thousands. We're expecting about 2,000 people at our party (I'll be somewhat shocked otherwise).

I think Scholastic is going to bust out and kick some ass for anyone who has viewed the PDF. The fact that I've had my staff sign waivers and things, when the book has been there for more than a week is just ridiculous.

Becky and Jason...you're right. I hate the spoiling bastards, too.

Wait a minute... People shouted spoilers at the Briarwood launch party? The last one, where I did the puppet show? This is the first I heard of it!

Yesterday, someone at work mentioned that people were showing up in stores last time and shouting spoilers the next day, and I said I would gladly bounce them from the premises, but now I remember that I'm not working the day after the party. If they shout spoilers *during* the party, though, I probably won't hear it, what with being preoccupied with overcoming stage fright and all.

At any rate: the bastards.
And in Spanish: los bastardos.
And in French: les bâtards.
And in Latin: notha.

Yeah, I threw them out as soon as I found out, with full security presence.

They didn't shout, as much as say it to whomever would stop and talk to them. Still...AAAARRRGGGHHH.

I didn't know the Latin! How useful.

Mike promised he'd kill them with his pinky finger, using his Ninja/Navy Seal training.
