Some Creepy Flash Fiction
He comes home at the same time every night. He turns on the lights, lets the cat in, and then presses the little button on the blocky device near the bed.
Then she appears, same as always, looking at him with the same loving eyes, young and pretty as the day he married her, and he touches her the same way he always does.
He's very careful to make sure it's the same. She doesn't see anymore, or feel, and so won't notice if he changes something; she'll just move the same way she always does, and might bruise him if he were in the wrong place - she has before. She's only soft if he touches her in the right places at the right times. All the motion is just the same as always.
But he has a lot of practice - it's always the same, after all - and so he makes love to her, carefully, samely. It's better than nothing. He's glad he has her.
Anyway, she probably would have left him even if he hadn't made the holo, even if she hadn't found it, just the same.
