welcome to the joyus land of procrastination and memes! Actually, those are pretty much the same thing ...

also, here are your cookies - (;;) it's pixelated, so it will probably taste like, well, pixels. But it's the thought that counts.

I'll friend you! Do not fear, you shall not be alone.

Please tell me how to pronounce "ceilidh." The DH always confuses me in Irish.

Kell-ish? Kell-ith? Kell-ig? Céad míle fáilte if you tell me. :-)

Ceilidh is pronounced "KAY-lee." The -idh at the end gets an "ee" sound. In Irish, it's more usually spelled ceilí, with the accent over the final i indicating that it gets the long "ee" sound. The dh in Irish is pronounced differently based on where it is in the word and what (if any) vowels follow it. I don't remember all the rules, and an explanation would be too long to bother with. :-)

"Alien Ceilidh" is the name of a track from Scottish fiddle player Alasdair Fraser's latest CD. As soon as I saw it, I thought, ooh, that would make a good user ID for something. It makes me picture Marvin the Martian doing the Highland fling.

I was totally off! I guess I need to brush up a little.

That's a great pick for a username: nobody else will have it, and it's mysterious. Always useful on line ... :-)

I just realized that after this post I never did friend you! So sorry about that. I was looking at my main page today and was all "now why is she not bolded [which indicates mutual friends]?" And I realized I hadn't clicked the little thingy I was supposed to click! It wasn't a snub. :-)
