1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open it to page 161.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around and look for the coolest book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.

"You don't have any sympathy, do you?"

Erm, the book next to me is Faust Eric, by Terry Pratchett. It has 155 pages... :D

Hee. Oh, well. I had Marlowe's "Dr. Faustus" shoved down my throat assigned in high school. "Is this the face that launched a thousand ships...?" and all that. Eric sounds like a lot more fun... Wha'd'ja think of it?

This Peanuts collection doesn't have page numbers. Envision:

Me: "...87, 88, 89..."
Sam: "Um... Mommy, why are you counting the pages?"
Me: "Shh! 90, 91, 92..."

Oh, hush. It only took a couple minutes...

It's not one of his better Discworld stories, but it has its moments, especially the concept of demons in hell torturing the souls of the damned... with beurocracy. :D

Nothing wrong with being crabby at all. *g* I'm at work, and what a coincidence...

For in Numenor cousins in the first degree did not marry even in the royal house.

HoME Vol 12 The Peoples of Middle-Earth

Heheh. Tolkien must've disliked commas.

Of course not! *grins back* As Lucy says, "The crabby little girls of today are the crabby old women of tomorrow!"

I'm at work, and what a coincidence...

Mine amazement hath no bounds. *g*

* rolls eyes * Yeah, I've noticed that... * pulls out more of thinning hair *

Crabby people are more interesting, I find. Too much sweetness tends to be cloying.

What?! I needed something to read during my coffee breaks. *g*
