I agree re: the end -- one can do a lot more with MAINTENANT's three syllables than one can with NOW. And ADIEU! is perfect in either language, I think.

Re: the list of names, I practiced that a LOT; I wanted it to flow. When we read the Book of Esther on Purim, the names of the ten sons of Haman (the villain) are supposed to be read in one breath. My goal was to read them like that... I didn't make it in one breath, but I didn't pause much, either...
I remember first reading the "compliment" as a child, and being stumped. It's hard in any language! *grins*

My French is very rusty (and was never that good to begin with), so I'm glad you both French and English transcriptions!
