New Gig
For all of you in Dallas who know Jeff... I might be doing some work with his brother as a session bass player for a couple of groups who are recording here in Austin... this would be awesome. Being paid to play music is a wonderful thing. Aside from that it is a well-paying gig. If it goes well enough he said he might make me the studio bassist, and that would be a great steady job.
It is very rewarding to be able to create music on a regular basis... on days we practice in the band I always find myself happier, more uplifted, less stressed. He asked me how much I would like to charge per hour or per song... I'm still not sure how to reply... this would be my first session gig, but I know there are session bass players out there who make $500 per song at least. I can knock out a song in a day. I doubt I would look for that much, but who knows. I feel like I've come over a hump, a couple of weeks ago, even less than a week ago, I felt pretty down. Now everything is looking up again... I'm noticing a pattern ;P~
