This remains me of Recoil stuff from the late 80's. In a good way. Orchestral, demented and generally wacked out. It's like some techno music out of a Harry Potter movie. Very weird, very good.
That's unlike any accordion *I've* ever heard before...
Sorry about the delay in getting around to listening to this... I always find it best to initially listen to your music when I have no pressing commitments and am in a positive mood, and that hasn't happened since this post until now.
It sounds deceptively simple at first, but I quickly grew confused while trying to count the time signature. I thought I had it pinned down to 7 beats per measure, but I found myself growing more uncertain the more I listened. Maybe it was 15? 13? 7/7/6?
This track is still playing in my head 10 minutes after the song has ended...

The rhythm starts out 7/4 with a more or less a 4 + 3 pattern, but when the slower melody lines start, they cross it with a more conventional beat that repeats 4 + 4 + 4 + 2, so that they sync up every 14th beat. Or 28th, or whatever -- depending on what you decide to call a quarter note.
Never one for doing things the easy way, me.
significance of the track title
I can just about guarantee you're the only person who's even been bothered to look it up. I thought the tribute was appropriate.
I initially took interest in the track name because, with nine letters and being uncommon enough as a word that I hadn't run across it, it reminded me of the track titles from my Contraholiday album "Indecorum". I thus searched, and quickly figured out just *which* Ladefoged from among the results was the intended one, both from your interest in linguistics and the mention of Xhosa.

So many delightful intricacies, sir.
