Sloth while human, late at night when she's less likely to run into someone who would try to get revenge on her.  She slips three letters into the mailbox for 3/4.  She knows that one of the recipients doesn't live in that apartment, but the others will get it to her.

Dear Edward,

I know this letter will come as a complete surprise to you and you ( Read more... )

Despite his mun not having written it up yet, Edward does have his leg attached by this time, so no more crutch, yay! Still no arm, but Edward can get around that pretty easily.

It's still early when he walks out to the mailbox to get the mail- he's naturally a pretty early riser, and usually up before either mate (although Riza is never far behind him, thanks to military training), so he tends to be the one to collect things around in the morning, paper, mail, that sort of thing. (That and the mail is usually bills, which is his responsibility anyway.)

He's back inside before what he's looking at really registers in his sleep-adled mind.

Suddenly, the chair he was standing next to seems like a very good place to sit. Hard.

"What is this, some kind of joke?" he growls quietly, flipping over the letters, looking for some sort of return address, or a phone number, or something.

There has to be a way to get ahold of her.

Well, of course there is a way to get a hold of her. She wants to make it up to you. It's a P.O. Box, though, because her survival instinct is still intact. You can write her and set up a meeting though!!

Riza picked up the letter addressed to her and frowned in curiosity as she opened it, glancing to the bottom first to see who it was from. Then froze at the name, her eyes narrowing as she tensed.

It took her several read throughs for the words to sink in, and her vision blurred over as she studied the second paragraph. It was completely unexpected and out of the blue and seemed too good to be true.

But still, the odds of it being some sort of a scam or trick didn't prevent the words written from causing her throat to tighten and her eyes to grow wet. What to do about it, though... that was the problem. She tucked the letter away and retreated to her room to compose herself and figure out the best way to bring it up with Edward.

She knows how close you were to him, Riza, and knew it upset you. So she felt she should aleve her fears. There is a way to get in contact with her though, a P.O. Box, because right now you scare her.
