CFMX6.1, cfchart, and java awt graphics

I'm posting this so it gets into google. I don't really want anyone else to waste as much time as I just did trying to google for answers and then have to solve it themselves anyway. The key phrases here have maybe a dozen hits each, none of which helped in any measurable way.

YUCK. Ain't adminning grand? :P This reminds me that I need to pick up CFMX again to finish my senior project... not looking forward to that little bit of joy.

We did this and it worked great for a while. Then, on a restart of CF, it broke and we are getting NoClassDefFoundError with CFCHART and with other graphics apps. Xvfb is still running.

Any ideas why it would break?
