His lower register on Runnin... holy shit... I heard it the first time and was "OH MY GOD! I need more of this inside my earholes!!"
Chokehold is my fave on the album. From the first snippet I was in love with it. So dark, a lot darker than anything else on the "dark side" of the album.
Better than i Know Myself is a good segue into the dark side of the album. Though you are right all the songs straddle the line between dark and light. Chokehold is the only one that is really dark.
But over all I am very happy it turned out as well as it did. I was worried that it would be as good as we wanted. LOL

HOW DOES IT EXIST. i'm not sure i've ever even heard him sing like that. i love that he decided to do it because while his higher register is gorgeous, he has ~such a huge range, and it's even more stunning to hear the lower, i think. maybe it's because we hardly ever get to hear it. it's there a bit in Shady too, and that's one reason i love that song too. you know, aside from it being SIIIIIIIIIICK!!!!! XDDD

I love your review of the album. Your reaction to Naked Love literally had me laughing out loud! I think honestly the only songs I'm not crazy about are the ones he's released as singles...Never Close our Eyes and Better Than I Know Myself just aren't catchy to me. *sigh* Literally any other song on the album would be 10000000x better. Underneath kills me every single time I hear it...it's like the Can't Let You Go of this album...raw, emotional, and tear-inducing.
I cannot comprehend Naked Love at all. I still don't like it, but I refuse to turn it off, and I sing and dance along every time. Infectious I tell ya!! xD I mean, like I said, I hated Moves Like Jagger when I first heard it, but now I love it. I promise it won't be long before i admit say that I love Naked Love LOL. Yet still, BTIKM is the worst track hahaha.

OMG I think I might just die hearing Underneath sung live. I mean it's going to be a super difficult song to sing live because the vocals are so crazy out there, but if he can do for it what he did for Outlaws of Love, I'll be content. Kind of like you, I like OoL, but the live version is so much better and more meaningful than the album version. Everytime I heard Underneath though I kept thinking about hearing it live and knowing that I'll probably cry like a baby hearing it and my brain will explode. i'm glad you know where i'm coming from with OoL. i've seen a few other people say they didn't like the production of it, with the extra instruments and especially the drums. i think the first time the drums come in, they shouldn't have faded in and out the ay they did, it was a bit distracting. i hope he continues to perform OoL live with just him and the guitar. =D
acoustic Sleepwalker is just ~unbelievable. but even with the full band, it was like an audible punch to the emotions. he just GAVE it to you, whether you were ready or not. he just knows how to go there, full band or not. ugh he's so talented. i have to stop fangirling. xDDD
