Your lab reminds me of my mom's lab when I was growing up (also the lab where I took freshman and AP biology). I helped her set up labs all the time and helped take care of her animals and plants, make DI water, etc. Lots of good memories in the room.
I have the same lack-of-access-to-my-room problem this semester, since they're teaching athletic training in my classroom during my planning now. I shouldn't complain, because the teacher next door has had an ESL class in her room during planning all year, but it means staying in the workroom during planning again. Our workroom REALLY isn't meant for teachers to work in it - there are two small tables (probably about the size of the rectangular table on the right of your picture) and three chairs with a large island taking up most of the room, and the microwave takes up more than half of one of the tables. There are three of us that share that space during planning this semester, and once our carts are in the room with us, there's almost no space to move. (And the copier/printer is on the other side of the room away from the door, so teachers who come in just to grab something and find all these roadblocks in their path get pissed pretty quickly.)
Yes, our teacher room has 4 rectangular tables along the edge of the wall, 1 round table, and 1 rectangular table. It is not enough space, as if you pull the chairs out on one table, you can't sit at the other tables. Really dumb.

I also like having more counter space instead of those sinks. I dont have them using water a lot or washing stuff up.
I normally have two fish tanks set up, but I didn't do it this year.
