Even before I had worked at Gap (sister store to Old Navy) I'd use the 50$ free shipping. I'd buy a number of shirts or pants in different sizes to see which I liked at home and then just return what I didn't like or what didn't fit.
She selected them all in her favorite color, "blue", which really means pink.
She calls pink "blue". At this stage, she calls almost all colors "blue", except for purple, which sounds like "puh". ("Puh", incidentally, is also pacifier and pasta, so at this stage, I understand her largely based on the situation/contextual).
In the beginning, a few mornings went something like this-- Me: OKay, Amelia, time to put on your clothes. Amelia: No! No! Mei Mei blue! Me: Okay, the blue shirt, here ya go.. Amelia: No! No! Blue! Blue! Mei mei blue! Me: This is a blue shirt. Here... Amelia: NO! Blue! Me: What? Here, come over to the drawer and pick it out yourself.
[Amelia picks out a pink shirt and happily holds it up to her chest] Amelia: Mei Mei BLUE! Me: That's pink. Amelia: Ink? Me: Yes, pink. Amelia: Mei Mei ink.
And the next day, we have this same conversation again, with her calling it "blue".
ha ha.. I wish Old Navy had an Old Navy Short! :P I do shop in their kids section but dang it.. am not sure who they are serving ...nothing fits well for me ... And D has the same issue there.
Woohoo for gymnastics! If you can find decently-priced kids' classes at a good gym, that can be really good for them. It's excellent not just for developing the physical skills but also confidence.
