Working out (Bikini Body Guide)

I started the Bikini Body Guide (BBG) workout plan on May 20, so it's been a full two weeks. I know, right!? I started just going for a mile run everyday plan - because that would required 15-20 minutes a day!! I thought was realistically doable! Because 20 minutes, you know?! I did great in January - because well it snowed most of the time and I could work from home! By April, it all went downhill - some were me and hubby's travels, work load, metro delays/unreliability. bah. I end up exercising maybe 4 days a week! :(

I should check out this program, too. I don't need to lose weight but my strength is non existent!

BBG emphasizes NOT watching the scale and that its not about weight loss but rather how you feel and being strong. In fact, a good quarter of her clients featured gain weight but have a toned body, so i like it. A lit of community support on Instagram if you look it up, she talks about photo accountability instead of weight checkins and its inspirational

Exactly! By the end of the day, I can't change into workout clothes and do a 30-minute workout... but equally, doing it at 5:30 am is tough!

I'm lucky in that I have free time to get in some exercise along with all the hockey and hiking that I do. I really enjoy weight lifting as I like being stronger and the muscle definition doesn't hurt.

Sometimes I do just need to take it easy for a day or two, though.

I think as the kids get older, it will become easier as they gain independence and don't require as much supervision. Erika is there at 6 years old, but Amelia is not.
