Minestrone

Sweat 1/2 C diced onion, 1/4 cup diced carrot, 1/4 cup diced celery. Add smashed garlic clove. Cook until fragrant. Add 4 cups chicken broth, can diced tomatoes (12ish ounces), 1/2 can green beans, and 2 cans kidney/cannelini beans. Add spices, e.g., oregano, crushed red pepper flakes, cinnamon. You're welcome. Most recipes for minestrone are simple, as well as pasta fagioli.
