So this is the lastest little plot bunny.  It was supposed to be one long oneshot, but I thought I'd break it up into parts since the parts were turning out to be a little over 1000 words long.  There are five parts, and I've got all of them written except for the very end of part 4.  The title graphics for these will be under the cut as they aren'

Ooh, this is really interesting. I'm not normally much of a River fan but I love what she decides to do here. And I can't help wondering
why the TARDIS keeps Donna's door so close but only allows them a flicker of a glimpse.

I'm glad you like it. =) I'm not a big River fan either, but ever since I saw The Name of the Doctor I know I'll kind of miss her. *sigh* It's confusing, I know.

I like to think the TARDIS lets the Doctor see the door, but not really anyone else because it's Donna's room and maybe Donna is a little sacred to her? Does that make sense? As for the closeness, I just sort of stuck it somewhere. O_o

*gasps* Ooh, now that's a start. River gives up her future to make the Doctor happier?! I love plot bunnies like this! :D

Oh, I will be looking for more of this! I like that fanfiction can give her the thoughtfulness and compassion she lacked in canon.

Yay! You like it. =D Though not saying whether or not River completely gives up her future with the Doctor. ;)

I am almost finished with the 4th part, and I plan to post part 2 in a couple days. Spacing it out I guess.

I think both Moffat and RTD could have made River a little more compassionate. If it wasn't for Alex Kingston playing her, I'd probably dislike her a lot more. I might still have banked on missing her after seeing The Name of the Doctor though.

Just lovely. I can see Eleven still touching that door reverently and torturing himself with the past. And good on River for not just accepting it. I'm hoping fanfic can do for her what the Moff was incapable of doing- making her a fully-realized individual who understands that in a life as long as the Doctor's, there can be more than one love.

Oooh, I love the paragraph just after the last 'Time can be rewritten.'

Interesting what's going on with the perception filter on the door to Donna's room. TARDIS leaving hints, maybe?

The TARDIS was helping the Doctor keep Donna's room kind of sacred. =)
