Wow: A friend of mine whose interests can be summarised as "Jack Bauer, Naruto, Dragon Ball, Death Note, Jack Bauer" told me that a North American Dragon Ball Z movie is in the works.

Even more wow: A live action film.

Even even more wow: Rumors say that James Marsters of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame (he played Spike) is a main cast member. IMDB ( Read more... )

Even if it doesn't turn out to be that great- I'd still watch it. -managed to watch ALL 291 episodes of DBZ from 4th to 10th grade- x3

Course- it probably won't be as much of a cheesefest as Dragonball: The Magic Begins, the other live-action that was made. *grins*

I'm going to pretend that I'm still blissfully unaware of that incarnation.

I don't know if I'd go see it. I'd probably wait until it was released on video in order to avoid the raging fanboys.

Hi!

I know its been forever, so I thought I'd say a quick greeting! We should definitely chat sometime!

And just to let you know, the reason the movie has any hope at all? It's a Dragon Ball movie, sans the Z. Plus Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle, Shaolin Soccer) is producing the movie (and might play an unspecified role). And so far, everything he touches turns into martial arts gold.

Hiho!

Re the film: I'll be suspicious until I see a trailer. ;)
