A very good friend of mine is going through a very difficult period in her life. A brilliant art and theatre critic, a talented painter and a wondeful mother of two kids, she needs all the help she can get

Crap, her paintings break my budget, especially the ones I like best. And right now I can't buy anything because we don't know how much the furniture will end up costing...Damn. :(

I know, she's great, but unfortunately, she is mostly beyond my budget as well. We have bought three works for my in-laws, but she has given us a huge discount.
I am aware the prices look steep for most of my LJ friends, but just in case - she is perfectly willing to negotiate if she feels the potential buyer really likes her stuff. There is, alas, very little else I could help her with, except putting this link on my LJ.
I've known her since I was 12, and she 14 - we attended the same French class together. She is The Artist - vulnerable, sensitive, living halfway between this life and the Other World, but RL has a nasty tendency to catch up (sick elderly parents, abusive husband, growing kids etc.)
