Although as a rule I'm not the least bit into dressing up dogs, cats or babies with cutesy outfits, I have to say that while rounding on the NICU babies this morning I almost died of the cuteness death rays emitted by some of the little preemie babies decked out in bright orange pumpkin costumes

We thought about dressing Small Person as a little pumpkin, but decided against it as a) I have no time to make such a costume, b) I don't intend to buy such a costume when I can make it and c) she has her 4 month appointment today and is NOT going to feel like submitting to getting dressed up afterwards.

We'll settle for handing out candy and contributing to the upkeep of the dental profession :-)

This is true. NICU can be a very scary place for parents, and happy pumpkin babies is a good (and very cute) thing.
