Yarn: it's what's for dinner

This is a picture of the girdle I'm working on for strawberrykaren.  It's a warp manipulation technique in 30/2 silk based on work  by Gina Barrett.  Karen, I should have had you buy the next yarn size up, so I'm sorry that this is going to be only around 3cm wide instead of 5cm.  It might work better as an earlier period girdle instead of a 15th century girdle.

WOW -- it's gorgeous! (I think I can cope with the smaller size.) :)

To get 5cm instead of 3cm, you'd need considerably heavier yarn. You'd need something like a 12/2 or a 10/2. 20/2 will get you to about 3.67cm.

Pretty!

Yes, I had previously had the thought that I needed a much bigger yarn, then I forgot the thought. By the time Karen actually bought the yarn I definitely didn't remember. When I got the package I realized...oops. But it will still be pretty.
