"I should have waited!"

These are the words Rachel hears as she is stirred from her slumber at some distinctly non-kosher hour in the morning. She frowns a little. Maybe it's just a weird dream. She slips her arm around Quinn and burrows into her chest, sighing contentedly.

"If I had know it was you I would have waited!"

There it was again. This definitely wasn't a dream. Quinn was talking in her sleep, with a bizarrely comic voice, which perplexed Rachel. She was mildly concerned that her girlfriend was having a nightmare. Honestly, the voice was a little crazy, and then what she was saying? Maybe she regretted being with her, maybe Finn wanted Quinn now, and Quinn wanted him back. Rachel was mildly insecure about that sort of thing. She looked up at the girl's face. Quinn did look a little perturbed.

"I would eat only you, Bacon!"

Rachel did a double take. Did Quinn really just say bacon? As if it were the name of a lover and not a food? Maybe it was just a code word for Finn. That would explain a lot. The late night trips to 'Carl's Jr.' under the ruse of getting a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, skipping lunch at school to go to Denny's for a 'Triple Bacon Grand Slam'. Rachel didn't even want to know exactly what that was supposed to mean.

She tentatively placed her hand on Quinn's stomach when she felt a small kick. The strength of the little limbs still astounded Rachel every time.

All of the sudden, Quinn shot up, a hungered expression on her face. She somehow jumped out of bed and was out the door before Rachel even realized what was happening. She heard a yell.

"Must, have...bacon!"

This absolutely was not acceptable. It would be one thing for Quinn to cheat on her during school or at some dingy restaurant, but to have it happen in her home? Not a chance. Rachel began to summon up all of her excellent points on the rant she'd prepared for such an occasion. The note cards were entitled, 'Why I cannot tolerate your loose definition of the word monogamy',  and was sure to do just the trick.

Rachel started to smell something. There was also this odd popping noise. She hurried her descent to the downstairs and saw Quinn in the kitchen, her back to Rachel. There was something cooking.

"Quinn? Are you awake?"

The taller blond spun around, with a facial expression somewhat reminiscent of a 'deer in headlights'. "Rachel? What are you doing down here?"

"Quinn, I don't know what it is that you're playing at, but I can assure you that I will not tolerate you philandering about with, well, with whoever it is that you refer to as 'Bacon'. Which, I might add, is ridiculous. If you're going to pick a code-na..." Rachel's tirade was cut off mid-sentence by soft lips over hers. She tasted something salty.

"Rachel, baby, look. I'm just cooking bacon, not cheating on you. What is going on?"

"Oh. Well. You were saying things that were very odd- 'If I had known it was you I would have waited' and 'I would eat only you, Bacon!' and you're always running out to eat at lunch and at night, muttering things about needing more bacon in your life. I kind of assumed you were seeing someone else.." Rachel felt a little childish. She'd forgotten Quinn was a pregnant girl, with cravings that would make a meth-addict going through withdrawal cringe.

"You could say that." Upon seeing the look on Rachel's face, she decided to change tactics. "Rach, you're a little crazy. Oh! I must have been quoting Jim Gaffigan. I was watching his sketch on bacon the other day. Also, look. We need to talk." Quinn's face got more serious.

Rachel felt all the blood rush into her face. This isn't good. Maybe she shouldn't have been so quick to accuse Quinn of cheating, and now the other girl would leave her. She tried to suppress the urge to cry. "About?"

"Well. I love you, really, but I have my priorities." Quinn had an odd expression on her face.

Rachel managed to choke out "Priorities?" without sobbing.

"Yes, well, first bacon. It's on the top of my to-do-list." Quinn grinned, which confused Rachel for a minute. "And you are also scheduled on that to-do list." Quinn kissed Rachel again, and the short singer was appeased. She really needed to learn that Quinn was kidding half the time. She grabbed Quinn's shirt and kissed her again. "Rachel. I didn't mean now." Quinn pulled back far enough to shove a strip of something reddish-brown into her mouth. "I haff to eat mah bacon furst." At least, that's what it sounded like she said. There was so much bacon in Quinn's mouth that Rachel really couldn't be sure.

The short singer sighed in frustration. She'd just have to wait until Quinn's hormones swung to a different spectrum of cravings. Hopefully ones that included her.
