I went on a Wildlife Walk with naturalist Dave Brown today, sponsored by Friends of Alewife Reservation. It is really a remarkable little snippet of genuine wild wetland -- some parts of it are more parklike, with paved paths, but much of it is entirely undeveloped, and impassable with brush. That sounds awesome! Walks with naturalists are the best. I just found the local nature center, and I'm excited to see their schedule of hikes and talks about things like wild birds and local butterflies.

Have you been to Great Meadows in Concord? I've never been there without seeing turtles. Lovely ride to get there, too.

Okay, I need to get there! My friend Eichin goes there all the time :) But until you said it was a nice ride, I hadn't bothered to look it up and find out that the Minuteman goes right there. Durr. Thank you!!

Thanks for the recommendation! That sounds quite neat! Back when I was an epsilon, my family used to go to nature centers and nature walks all the time, but I haven't done so in ages.
